Women Behind The Brew Crew

The other day we introduced you to the members of the Crist Racing Brew Crew. But like they say, behind every man is an even better woman, and that definitely holds true for the Brew Crew. (Just kidding, guys!) So, who are these amazing, wonderful, patient, and saint-like women who hold the family together?

Heather Crist

Heather is Dustin's wife and faithful supporter. Her nickname is Hef—not after the famous "Hef," Hugh Hefner, but because, well, her name rhymes with Heifer. (Other nicknames? Heifer, Heifer Jo, Heffa...you get the idea.)

Heather tapes every race and is the Official Videographer, Assistant Photographer, Pit Supervisor, and Head of Marketing. She is also the Chief Meteorologist and when it looks like a summer thunderstorm might be rollin' in to cancel the races, she's always the first to pull up the Weather Channel radar on her phone and update everyone. Oh, and as the Head of Technology and IT, she also maintains this website. Basically, she wears the fire suit in this family.

Debbie Crist

Debbie is Dustin's mom and loudest cheerleader. People attending the races always know when she's there because her cheers and yells can be heard over the crowd. She is also the Official Pit Snack Provider, Provider of the First Aid Kit, Assistant Pit Supervisor, Assistant Grill Master, and while she would like to think she's Official Head of Security, her small stature (she might be toppin' out at five feet tall) says otherwise.

Elizabeth Rivera

Elizabeth is Jesse's wife and mother to biggest little fans, Alyssa and Keaton. Her nickname is Biff (we have a thing for nicknames around here, if you can't tell) because it rhymes with the last syllable of her name. She is Debbie's Assistant Head Cheerleader and sometimes it's hard to tell which of them is screaming louder. Elizabeth is also Provider of the Fruit Snacks and Keeper of the Juice Boxes (hey, the biggest little fans have their needs, okay?).

Brandi Sykora

Brandi, Kyle's girlfriend, has served as Heather's Assistant Videographer. She goes to graduate school in Iowa so she can't always make every race in the summer, but she's always there in spirit! Also, Brandi was pitcher on her college softball team, so never casually ask her to toss something to you unless you're wearing a glove. Trust me on that one.
