The Crist family has been racing for three generations. The tradition started with Jim Crist, and then his sons, Roy and Joe, took up the hobby. Today the legacy continues with Roy's son, Dustin, who races under 222, the same number as his grandfather and father.

Dustin grew up at the local tracks. Whether it was watching his Uncle Joe race at the old Savannah track, helping his dad in the garage, or racing with his dad and uncle Joe in the Vintage Modified class at Adrian and US-36 Raceway when he was 19-years-old, racing has always been a large part of Dustin's life.
The "when" happened in 2003 when Dustin started racing in the Vintage Modified class. His first night on the track, he won his heat race and the feature. He was racing (and beating) men two or three times his age and was soon given the nickname of "The Kid."
In 2006, Dustin moved to the Grand National class and won Rookie of the Year at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS. In 2008, he challenged himself yet again and moved to the Sport Modified class. Dustin will be racing Sport Mods again this year, traveling to tracks in Topeka, Kansas City, Knoxville, IA, and local tracks like US-36 Raceway and I-35.
